AWADC
Certificate of Recognition

Each year the AWADC leadership chooses a member who has shown outstanding service to our club through leadership, volunteerism or community service.
This year's certificate is awarded to
Bill Tucholski
Pick-up a Sunday Toledo Blade and you will find most often an editorial letter from Bill.  His focus is usually on education issues both locally and statewide.  As a former teacher, Bill brings his knowledge and expertise to the attention of the lawmakers. He is on top of bills in the Statehouse and the direction of the local school boards. Bill is dedicated to working for candidates, listening to people in the community and sharing his wisdom with others. He assists in our community service projects and supports candidates who reflect our democratic values by canvassing, sign distribution and encouragement and assistance to our members.
Thank you Bill!

In Memoriam
Nancy E. Myerholtz
January 21, 1945 ~ February 21, 2025
In 2008, while Nancy was canvassing for Senator Barack Obama, she was the person responsible for encouraging our current President Shelly Hayes to become involved in the campaign. They worked together with many others in the Waterville area and celebrated his victory in 2008 and again in 2012. After the Democratic loss of the Presidential election in 2016, Nancy was one of five other individuals who on a snowy January evening at the Waterville Public library decided to form a local Democratic club. The purpose of the club, to provide a place for Democrats in a very Republican community, to voice their opinion and provide volunteer opportunities to support Democratic candidates. She was a member of our Anthony Wayne Area Democratic club for several years. Nancy has always supported Democratic values and candidates. Her front yard on Michigan Avenue in Waterville has always been a place for our Democratic candidate’s signs. On February 21st, 2025 Nancy lost her courageous battle against mesothelioma. She will be missed as a friend and mentor. For more information on the life of Nancy Myerholtz visit this link.
