Each year the AWADC leadership chooses a member who has shown outstanding service to our club through leadership, volunteerism or community service.
This year's certificate is awarded to

Gary Ehrmin
​
Gary owns a successful construction business which was founded by his grandfather, Victor Ehrmin about 1920. His father ran it from just after World War II until 1975 when Gary took over. 
Gary consistently gives above and beyond to the Anthony Wayne Area Democratic Club.  You call and Gary answers.  His monetary and material contributions have helped the club, the community and candidates running for office.

Anthony Wayne Area Democratic Club

 Committed to our Northwest Ohio Community 

Helping those less fortunate:
· Donations to foodbanks
· Participate in Anthony Wayne School charity activities
 Support· local military charities

Community Service:
· Maintenance of Waterville Pray Park Gardens and Monclova   Community Center Gardens

Making our voices heard:
· Participate in marches defending democracy
· Calls and written correspondence to our State and national    legislators
· Attend local government meetings
· Attend local rallies
· Participate in local community parades and provide our information at booths during festivals

Strategic initiatives:
· Formal affiliation with Lucas County Democratic Party
·· Gather signatures on Petitions
· Align ourselves and campaigning for Democratic Candidates
· Increase awareness of our Club through Website and social media sites
· Partnering with other groups like League of Women’s Voters and other Democratic Clubs
· Participate in local government through committee memberships
· Reach out to local school systems – invite to meetings, assist in educational topics, provide scholarship

In Memoriam
Linda Rogers
August 18, 1953 — April 8, 2026 
 Gone so quickly too soon.  Linda had great enthusiasm when it came to assisting us with community projects and our political campaigns.  As a volunteer for our annual garage sale she was the best in organization and pricing.  Buyers were greeted with a joyous welcome and a huge smile.  Often our garage sale conversations included her love of life’s activities which included grandchildren, crafting, politics of course and most anything you can imagine, often ending the discussion with her robust laugh.  She was especially interested in helping with our support of the 180th Fighter Wing Operation Homefront mission sorting school supplies and holiday gifts for the children.  When there was a call to political action, she was there with a protest sign or writing postcards for a particular candidate.
​Linda was a delight to know.
​May her memories be a blessing for us all.
